The Toronto Marlies have seen the last of gritty Alex Berry and the invisible Stefano Giliati. Both were traded today to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the talented offensive defenceman, Matt Lashoff.

It is no secret that Oreskovic’s biggest attribute on the ice is his size. He has developed his physical craft well and uses it to his advantage – frequently. Phil makes any opponents day extremely unpleasant when they enter the Marlies defensive zone, especially those hovering around the crease.

Alex has shown himself to be a one-dimensional player in a way player’s are not normally considered. Scoring only 7pts (3g, 4a) through 55 games with the Marlies, Alex’s contribution has solely been in an agitating fashion.
